It's snowing! Chicago has such crazy weather. One minute its 50 degrees the next it's snowing like a blizzard out. That's why they say "You don't like the weather?..wait ten minutes, it will change." We have had such a mild winter so far so I was kinda surprised.
Today was definitely that kinda of day where your just want to curl up with a good book or favorite show and sip on a warm cup of tea. And I love tea! I decided to catch up on my favorite show, Downton Abby. I simply adore this show and almost feel like I am whisked away to the Crowley's estate sipping tea and sharing secrets with them. If you like period English shows, I highly recommend this show! If you want to check it out, it will be on Sunday on PBS on Masterpiece Classic. True gem!
Ok, so I thought I would start my blog by showing you some of my most treasured anthro pieces.

These are my favorite pairs of shoes, but i have a sad story to tell. After I wore them one night, I decided to leave them up on my coffee table so I would remember to bring them upstairs and keep them safe from my dog. Boy was I dumb because my dog jumped up and got ahold of them. I found her chewing on one of the pretty pink roses and found the remaining rose on the shoe was bent and slobbered on. I was sooo upset and wanted to cry because these were my special shoes that I just got and were not cheap. She basically ruined the best part of the shoes and they do not look the same without the roses. I plan to fix them once I can find similar fabric but I am still extremely bitter about it since they were not cheap!
Budding t-straps
Anthro: circa 2009

My wonderful hubby purchased this for me and gave it to me for Christmas. I was super excited to get it since I missed out on the first bicycle dress. I'm a sucked for vintage inspired dresses and it has pockets!
Bike Lane Dress
Anthro-currently in stores

I love this top because it dresses up any outfit and it is extremely comfy.
Wind-ripple tee
Anthro-circa 2009

This is such a beautiful piece and it looks awesome with the budding t-straps and grey tights!
Spirited away dress
Anthro-circa 2009
I bought this dress while I was nursing my son so my chest was much larger than it is now. The SA suggested i try a 8 because it is compared to a 2 in this dress. Crazy but she was right! There is absolutely no give in the chest area so I had to size up quite a bit.
Spiced dress
Anthro-Circa 2011

I am a big fan of this skirt. I wear it usually with a grey tank tucked in or even the wind ripple tee.
Shifting buttons skirt

The items that got away.....
Here are some of the pieces I look for daily hoping one day someone will be willing to let them go.

I am on hot pursuit for this one and pray one day it will be mine!
Seriously if anyone wants to part with theirs, I wear a size x-small/small and I'm interested!
Anthro: Fulmar skirt circa 2008

I lost out on this one recently but they wanted an arm and a leg for it on EBay. I'm hoping my chance will come without someone trying to rip me off.
Savoy tria sweater skirt
Anthropologie: circa 2011

I missed out on these because I thought they were similar to my budding t-straps. Well we all know how that turned out. Hoping to find them someday size 9
Dusky begonia t-straps
Anthro: circa 2010

Last but not least the two wheeler shirt dress. Such a pretty vintage piece that i adore.
That's it for now. I'll be back tomorrow to share more of my current anthro loves!
